Here are some recommendations for care:
• Don’t get them wet.
• Don’t use any acid based glue with them.
• Avoid folding or creasing them.
• Talk to them often!
There are two ways that we recommend that they are hung
- Using curtain rail (from a hardware store) top and bottom to hang them like a large scroll. Simply stitch over the top and bottom (or get a tailor to do it) and then insert the curtain rail both ends. The rail at the top will need to be about 3 inches longer than the canvas is wide. You can round off the top rail if you like, paint it white and put two grooves in it to hold the hanging line / thread. Then just hang like a painting.
- You can wrap the canvas around a wooden frame and then staple it to the frame. Keep it reasonably taut but not so taut that it is stretched. Canvases become less portable when you decide upon this option.
